Financial Controller - Lagos

Job Summary :

The Financial Controller is responsible for preparing the financial accounts for the organization and ensuring the financial integrity of the statutory accounts.

Responsibilities :

Preparing and reviewing P&L and balance sheet reports
Responsible for dealing with day to day cash management
Assist with the audit preparation work to allow for timely completion of
the annual financial statements and corporation tax returns
Maintaining records and reconciliation controls of approved budgets Year end income and expenditure forecasts
Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance & accounts
Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
Financial modelling and analysis
Cash management and treasury duties
Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
Overseeing the Payroll process
The ideal applicant should be able to consolidate monthly project activity reports from Principal Consultants. Challenge variances and inconsistencies to ensure accuracy of data.
Ensure appropriate systems and controls in place to drive accurate financial reporting.
Ensure accurate coding of costs to projects to ensure accurate GP reporting by project and identification of rechargeable costs.
Own the monthly forecasting process and the annual business planning process.
Create feedback loop to increase accuracy of future forecasts.
Produce financial models to support bid pricing and other commercial analysis.
Oversee effective credit control and tight working capital management.
Risk Management skills & Reporting and Maintenance of a Risk Register for the business and other key projects, which will usually be updated monthly or quarterly, as appropriate.

Qualifications and Requirements :

High awareness of current technical accounting and reporting requirements .
A minimum of OND
Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Must be a team-player
Must have good interpersonal skills
