Nutritionist generally work in a preventive role on a one to one and a group basis with Patience of all age.
KEY REPONSIBILITY:
Researching how the body function are affected by nutrient supply
Investigating the relationship between genes and nutriends
Studying how diets affect metabolism
Examining the process of nourishment and association between diets, disease and health
Providing health advice and promoting healthy eating
Advicing about special diets
Educating health professionals and the public about nutrition
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team/supporting the work of other health care professionals
KEY SKILLS:
Team working Skills
Keen interest in the impact of diet on health
Good interpersonal skills
Understanding of human physiology
QUALIFICATIONS: SSCE, OND/HND, BSC.
