System Administrator/Network Engineers - Lagos

Responsible for answering questions posed by the end users.
Assist with installation and configuration of Smart Phones and telephone equipment in accordance with firm defined installation templates or guidelines.
Handle IS equipment setup for hew hires and office moves
Maintain hardware inventory and documentation of existing applications and procedures.
Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes.
Excellent ability to follow through with assigned tasks or projects.
Configure and maintain the organization's internal computer network.
Manage network security tools, e.g., firewall, anti-virus and intrusion detection systems.
Identify, troubleshoot, solve and document network connectivity and performance issues.
Monitor network performance and optimize the network for optimal speed and availability.
Install, configure and maintain network hardware, for example, Cisco routers and switches.
Deploy, configure and upgrade network software, such as, enterprise antivirus or diagnostics programs.
Implement and maintain emergency backup and restore systems for mission-critical network servers.
Network administrators regulate user access to sensitive files to protect against internal security breaches.
Talking to clients to get details of faults, Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and high level of patience when dealing with non-technical users
Working out the reasons for a fault and explaining these to the client
Fixing equipment, including printers and scanners (known as peripherals)
Setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems
Testing and servicing equipment
Recording problems and their solutions for future reference
Training clients on new systems or software applications.
You may work for a company as part of a team, or support outside business clients.
Network management and administration requires documentation of network design, equipment configuration and other details that aid in troubleshooting when the network is down.
