Operations Manager - Lagos

Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit an annual operational budget to the Managing Director for review and approval. Manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately and progress made and any challenges encountered.
Participate in the preparation of operating and capital budgets, acquisition of material according to approved budget and company processes.
Ensures good communications between Maintenance and Operations to minimize equipment downtime.
Distributes information memorandums on current issues.
Responsibility for maintaining financial, accounting, administrative and personnel services with an understanding of warehousing, operations and sales expectations.
Monitors overtime costs and general expenditures.
Participates in financial reviews.
Ensures procedures are in place to correct service failures in loading and discharging vessels.
Ensures safety, health and environmental standards are met throughout the operation.
Ensures monthly safety meetings are conducted at various levels of the operations group.
Reviews and approves instructions regarding operations systems and procedures.
Formulate policies; manage day-to-day operations; and plans the use of materials and employees.
Generate all operations department reports that have relation with organizational goals and objectives.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
Overall responsibility for the implementation, direction, and leadership of the care and operations of our extensive and expanding network.

Should be Lagos Resident.
